The Future Makers Co-ordinator is a fixed-term role with a brief to set up a programme of Future Makers activity in local schools and in our Crawley base in West Green to run from autumn 2025 to summer 2026. The Future Makers Co-ordinator will work closely with the Artistic Director and Executive Director and will be responsible for the logistics, organisation and management of Future Makers.
This is a great, fixed term opportunity for someone who likes to make brilliant things happen for young people, schools and the community. This role would be great for you if you are:
Passionate about young people having fair and inclusive access to high quality creative activity
Excited to bring young people, teachers and artists together to discuss big ideas and to find creative ways to explore them;
Passionate about new writing and supporting writers to make their best relevant and resonant work for teenage and general audiences;
Really good at bringing people together, connecting, engaging and spotting partnerships that would ignite some great ideas and work.
It might suit you if you are a theatre producer, a former teacher or youth worker, but we don’t want to put you off if you have other, relevant skills from other areas. Your drive, commitment, organisational skills and belief in young people in Crawley are the most important things.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Contract type: Fixed term – to start asap and to end 31st March 2026. Part time - 2 days a week (0.4)
Hours: 15 hours a week including statutary breaks. Normal office hours are Mon-Fri 10am–6pm. Flexible working hours including evening and weekend work may be required on occasion.
Salary: £30,000 pro rata *, (circa £1k per month), paid monthly on the 15th of each month.
Location: Theatre Centre is based at 1 Town Barn Road, Crawley, RH11 7XG and this role is seen as primarily office-based. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements including staggered or condensed hours and some working from home.
Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance applies.
* Pro rata: the proportion of a full time salary based on the number of contracted hours. The same applies to holiday.

PROCESS
Your application will be read by at least two people.
All interview candidates will receive the questions in advance.
The first interviews will be via Zoom with captions available and the second interviews will be in person in our offices in Crawley. You will see at least two people at each interview.
We will offer feedback to all unsuccessful candidates at each interview stage. We’re sorry but we will not be able to offer feedback to applicants who are not shortlisted for interviews.
