The Marx Brothers Go East

by Sue Frumin

Age Advice: Teenagers

The Marx Brothers Go East by Sue Frumin was commissioned by Theatre Centre and first produced by the company in 1988.
Two New York teenagers encounter two elderly Jewish women in the midst of their annual homage to the Marx Brothers. Throughout the course of the play, the two Jewish women tell the girls of their story as young people, imprisoned at Terezin concentration camp between 1943 and 1944.
