The Disappeared is a play written for Theatre Centre by David Holman in 1980. It is a play for school children of fifteen years old and over.

Argentina. 1978. The place is the great square in front of the President’s Palace in the capital city – Buenos Airies.

Every week a group of people gather, mostly women, on the grass of the Plaza di Mayo to ask about their relations and friends who have disappeared under the military rule. They have a few minutes before the Army attacks them and clears the Square. President Videla calls them the Mad Ones of the Plaza di Mayo.
