Standpoint is our accessible speech making programme for young people that brings together schools and professional workplaces. Standpoint is about young people developing their voice, confidence and agency. Participants learn about the craft and rhetoric of speech making, developing their ideas and analytical skills through practical workshops before presenting their speeches to a public audience. With Standpoint we aim to raise the aspirations of young people and equip them with skills needed to reach their career potential.

Since 2016 we’ve successfully delivered several Standpoint programmes supported by Linklaters and UBS. We’re looking for more corporate partners and project sponsors to enable us to reach more young people with the transformative power of speech-making.

Whether you’re a teacher interested in learning more about how to get your students involved or a business interested in supporting the delivery of future Standpoint projects please get in touch with or give us a call on 020 7729 3066.

MAXINE PEAKE, Actor, Standpoint Patron

"I am proud to be the patron of Theatre Centre's Standpoint programme. Theatre Centre continues to open up young people's creative potential in new and dynamic ways. For young people to articulate and contribute their views and passions is vitally important for debate and for democracy. I hope my support will see this great project reach many young people who feel they have something to say and need to have it heard."
