Age Advice: Unknown

Mirror Mirror was written by Janys Chambers for Theatre Centre in 1995. Unfortunately the target age group for the performance is currently unknown.

Joan loves fairy tales and when her new stepmother arrives they offer her an unexpected escape. The stories she acts out begin to take on an uncanny resemblance to her own experience and provide her with a weapon against confusion. But is Joan the only lost child in the new family? And are all stepmothers like those in the stories? What will be the “Happy Ever After”…?

This delicate, witty and vibrant play by Janys Chambers takes the audience into a world where fact and fantasy intermingle and explores a process of adjusting to change through the eyes of a child.

"I have watched productions from Theatre Centre for the whole of my teaching career (17 years) and they have never failed to be challenging, effective, multi-layered and moving. They have yet again succeeded in delivering the highest quality drama"
