Jumping on My Shadow is a play written for Theatre Centre by Peter Rumney in 2001. The production toured to audiences aged 8+ in primary schools.

Anna’s grandmother folds her secrets into the dough so they wont rise and can’t be shared. Anna tries to break the bread to set the stories free. Mr Miah scatters the crumbs of his life to the secen winds. And in the heat of the bakery, Josip, the boy from nowhere, confronts Anna with a powerful story burning to be told. Josip needs a home. Anna’s home.
