Age Advice: 5 - 8
Atuk’s Return was first produced by Theatre Centre in 1981. It was written by David Johnston for young audiences aged 5-8.
Atuk takes a trip to the frozen north in search of the ‘old ways’ of Eskimo life. But then a blizzard blows up and Atuk and his companions struggle to continue their journey, they’re left to make an igloo and curl up for the night. They hear noises and show us the dangers and cruelty humans face in eternal winter beyond the Arctic circle.
Writer: David Johnston
Director: Roger Watkins
