The Fix sharing and workshop

18 March 2015

On Monday 16th March, we assembled a fine group of theatre practitioners, friends and colleagues at Hackney Empire to participate in the first playback of Alex Bulmer's project, supported by the BBC Performing Arts Fund.

Following an introduction by artistic director Natalie Wilson, the participants heard Alex's 10-minute drama The Fix, which was pre-recorded by Chris Preece and featured actors Niamh Webb, Michael Lyle and Jill Riddiford.

Niamh and Michael then got us up on our feet to run through the type of workshop that would follow the recording in a school or youth group setting.

Finally, we fed back about the experience over orange juice and biscuits!

We'll hopefully hear more from Alex soon about the culmination of the project - and where it might go next - but in the meantime, head over to our Facebook page for more photos from the sharing.

Many thanks to the BBC Performing Arts Fund for their ongoing support, and also to Hackney Empire for accommodating us!
